National Research Nuclear University MEPhI
Department of Experimental Nuclear Physics and Cosmophysics The Department of Experimental Nuclear Physics and Cosmophysics trains bachelors and masters in two educational programs: "Nuclear Physics and Cosmophysics" and "Physics of Fundamental Interactions", and also provides a postgraduate "Physics of the Atomic Nucleus and Elementary Particles" course.
The duration of bachelor course is 4 years with the protection of a bachelor's degree;
the duration of masters course is 2 years with the protection of a master's degree; the duration of postrgaduate study is 4 years,
after graduation one can get the diploma of the teacher-researcher with futher possibility of defending the thesis for the degree of candidate of physical and mathematical sciences.
During training students are offered relevant courses in such areas of science as:. Nuclear physics, cosmic rays, astrophysics, physics of the standard model, radiation detectors, modern physical facilities, etc. Successful students are usually offered internship opportunities in the leading scientific centers of Russia and the world (INR, RSRI , CERN, DESY, etc.), as well as participation in domestic and international conferences in the field of scientific work.
